Our Mission

Teachers have the unique opportunity to greatly influence how a child develops and learns to interact with the world. In the face of today's rapidly changing cultural and technological landscape, the Montessori Method grounds a child's development in tested and universally shared principles. Preparing children to be adaptable, creative, and empathetic individuals requires teachers to be ever more knowledgable of these proven techniques and even further skilled in applying them within the framework of modern society.

The Avenues Institute's mission is to meet teachers at the intersection of traditional training and technology. We make Montessori teacher education easily accessible through online-first, self-paced curriculums, opening doors to Montessori training that have not been available to most. With multicultural, multinational instructors and partner schools, our classes are comprised of educators with experience from all around the world. The Avenues Institute's goal is to cultivate an easily accessible and ever-adapting environment for teachers to learn and grow. Students are often a reflection of their teachers so the love for lifelong education begins with us.

Online-First Approach

With almost 10 years of refining, our online-first approach to teacher education is not only more accessible, but also continually evolving to meet the needs of today's technology-centric world. The curriculum is designed with self-paced learning at its core supplemented with live online lectures. Shorter, in-person intensive workshops follow ensuring that teachers have the opportunity to apply their learning in a collaborative environment while minimizing the amount of travel away from home.
